A poor percentage that is quite far from 17.8% can hardly keep him in the presidency of SYRIZA. Many even argue that as long as he does not exceed the percentage of the last national elections, his challenge will be a given.

The future of Stefanos Kasselakis in SYRIZA will depend on the numbers. What will be the strength of the party in a few days, how many departures will the Central Committee record and what will the “counter” write regarding the parliamentary group. Going a little further and overcoming the Congress, the European elections will be the station and the critical test for his staying or not in the party.
A poor percentage that is quite far from 17.8% can hardly keep him in the presidency of SYRIZA. Many even argue that as long as he does not exceed the percentage of the last national elections, his challenge will be a given. Until June, of course, a lot of water will flow in the channel.
Alexis Tsipras has started to “talk” and yesterday he continued his barrage of contacts. Stefanos Kasselakis, Nasos Iliopoulos and Dionysis Teboneras passed by his office on Amalias Street to discuss the next day. Mainly, of course, to calm spirits and find a way to limit departures. Yesterday it was Petros Kokkalis’ turn to leave the party’s Eurogroup. Speaking to ERT, he stated that the discussions on the creation of a new party are intensifying
In the event that Efi Ahtsioglou’s team decides to withdraw on Sunday, or a large part of the “6+6”, it is of great importance what the new wave of opinion polls will show next. If, first of all, another potential party is registered next to SYRIZA, which will cut significant forces from the official opposition.
Stefanos Kasselakis has not shown to have any dynamic in the measurements – as is usual with new captains – and this makes him vulnerable. It is important, of course, to examine all the facts of the new political landscape. To what extent will the new formation, when established, withstand time, but also how PASOK will react.
Some take for granted that Nikos Androulakis will begin to consolidate in second place, however if this is not accompanied by an increase in his percentages it will be problematic for Charilaou Trikoupis. Why is SYRIZA falling all the time, but the question is what is PASOK doing when the main opposition is disintegrating in front of it, releasing several forces in the space of the center-left.
In yesterday’s poll on behalf of ACTION 24, the Opinion Poll showed that PASOK rises to 16% and SYRIZA follows in third place with 14.7%. Nikos Androulakis seems to have taken the first step and it is clear that if this image prevails in the measurements, the pressure on Mr. Kasselakis will be even greater.
