“I will not leave the “housewives” on the Right, while the real bigots are the ones who rule us and disintegrate society”, emphasizes the president of SYRIZA-PS, Stefanos Kasselakis.

In his post on social media, on the occasion of comments caused by his reference yesterday in the context of his interview at the 7th Synod of Thessaloniki, the president of SYRIZA PS notes that “Obviously my own words pass through a sieve, while for my political opponents there is absolute media support or tolerance. Welcome.”

He points out that he has spoken “from the first moment about the new Greece and the Greek dream that I envision” and underlines: “But no. I will not leave the “housewives” on the Right, while the real bigots are the ones ruling us and disintegrating society. At a time when the Left is first of all the people of labor and humanity. The Left of ethics and responsibility”. Mr. Kasselakis states that “the stereotypes built by the propaganda of so many years will be broken”.

In particular, the president of SYRIZA PS emphasizes that keeps “something good from the past to move forward, and this is an empathy, a solidarity that at some point – in the 80’s and 90’s – our society had conquered to a certain extent”. Then, as he notes, “Paul would not be killed for football”. Back then when supposedly housewives wouldn’t murder Zack. When classmates of a 13-year-old student wouldn’t film her beating”. “Yes, at some point in this country we reached a degree of solidarity that was a good basis for the future. Then came the crisis, the disintegration of the social fabric, the rise of every form of extreme right, hatred of immigrants, the governance of a company that monitors, eavesdrops and does business,” he adds.

Finally, Mr. Kasselakis argues that “for me, that starting point is what I want to build tomorrow: A state of justice, equality, institutions that work, and social protection for everyone”.
