A meeting on violence under the Prime Minister, Kyriakos Mitsotakis, will be held on Monday, at 9.30 am, at the Maximos Palace, with the government seeking to focus on tackling fan violence.
The murder of the 19-year-old Mars fan, Alkiviadis Kampanos, in Thessaloniki has mobilized the authorities and the government in recent days.
The “present” at the meeting will be the co-responsible ministers of Citizen Protection, Takis Theodorikakos, Justice, Costas Tsiaras and the Deputy Minister of Culture and Sports, Lefteris Avgenakis.
“Now we are all judged on the determination to put an end to hooliganism and crime inside and outside the stadiums. The Greek Police is intensifying the controls every day and closing the illegal fan associations,” Citizen Protection Minister Takis Theodos told SKAI on Saturday. on the sidelines of the authorities’ investigations into the murder of Alkis, pointing out that the goal is for the fans, the families and the young children to return to the stadiums without fear.
