The “zero hour” has arrived and Efi Ahtsioglou’s team is expected today to press the “button” to leave SYRIZA. The “6+6” move with “Umbrella” was in constant consultation until late last night in order to determine the final details.

It would be a surprise to choose any other design, as yesterday’s “reliance” by Stefanos Kasselakis leaves no room for choice.

He chose to “cage” the internal party opposition by unexpectedly inviting them to participate in the meeting of the Political Secretariat at four in the afternoon. And even that its executives take part in the reconstitution of the Political Center which under Alexis Tsipras had turned into the “morning coffee”.

Essentially, the president of SYRIZA asks the members and MPs who supported Efi Ahtsioglou in the recent internal party elections and remain by her side to say “goodbye” to Koumoundourou before the convening of the body.

It is a fact that those who belong to the environment of “6+6” would be very difficult to take part in today’s meeting after what was said between them. The gap is unbridgeable and the decision to part ways has been taken by the pan-Hellenic conference on Sunday.

Of the 11 who had signed the text against the leadership in the Central Committee 11 days ago (it called the president’s speech insulting with elements of the alt right) members of the Political Secretariat are “eight”: Efi Ahtsioglou, Alexis Haritsis, Nasos Iliopoulos, Dimitris Tzanakopoulos, Sia Anagnostopoulou, Theano Fotiou, Nikos Bistis and Danai Koltsida.

All lights now fall on today. As SKAI has reported, once the secession from Koumoundourou proceeds and a new parliamentary group is formed, Alexis Haritsis is said to be the most likely to be put in charge. The question is the number of MPs that will make up the new K.O., the cooperation with Euclid Tsakalotos and Peti Perkas and overall with “Umbrella”.

There are many executives who believe that the creation of the new initiative, before taking the form of a new party, will create many expectations in the space of the center-left, stopping the “bleeding” towards PASOK and KKE that has been seen in four consecutive opinion polls. In Koumoundourou, they will focus on the work of SYRIZA as the official opposition, believing that the recovery and vindication of those who chose to stay in the “homelands” will quickly come.

As far as Stefanos Kasselakis is concerned, with the attack he launched yesterday from the march of freelancers on Euclid Tsakalotos, he made it clear what he has in store for the new retirees. However, the “renouncement of heritage” that he often makes in relation to the governing past of SYRIZA constantly causes reactions.

The president of SYRIZA constantly draws a red dividing line in government choices 2015-2019 which mainly have to do with the imposition of high taxation. He seems to be unaware of the “tight corset” that the troika had put on Alexis Tsipras, although he referred to it yesterday when he discussed with a citizen who participated in the demonstration. At the same time, his reference to “housewives” may be a centrist shift for him, however it was considered quite conservative for SYRIZA’s data.
