The former SYRIZA member of parliament Peti Perka spoke about a new political venture after her departure from SYRIZA on the morning of Pempi on SKAI and the program ‘TODAY’.

“There is political space, a mobility for a new venture that we have the time to organize, obviously with the partners who will leave. We have a close relationship and the same political goal”he said characteristically.

“Once again SYRIZA is doing something exemplary, for the first time there is a split that does not start from above but from below. Thousands of members, entire sections, the youth leave every day with serious political texts. This shows an impetus.”

“What I see is that the world of the Left no longer accepts shame, it wants dignity. Stefanos Kasselakis is the icing on the cake. We have been listening to him for so many days. The leader of the official opposition is a serious government agent, he cannot be a probationer, he cannot make inappropriate statements”, she said and continued: “while praising Alexis Tsipras in his statements, he is deconstructing him”. It has been pointed out to him that when you hit a minister of the SYRIZA government, you hit Alexis Tsipras.”

“I don’t want to talk about Stefanos Kasselakis anymore, I want to talk about the next day”he stated and added: “Because there is a political vacuum, something must be established: a body, a party? Mr. Tsakalotos put it nicely: something more ‘than a forum something less than a party’, we will see how it will develop”.

“I would like us to take part in the European elections, to express all this. I would like the green agenda very high in this new venture, what separates the Left from the Right, i.e. the way the green transition will take place. We will also speak with Mr. Kokkalis regarding this issue.”

Asked whether the new party will be headed by Mr. Haritsis, she answered yes is still unknown while he added that “It is not true that Mr. Tsakalotos and Ms. Ahtsioglou are not talking”.

Finally, regarding SYRIZA and the new party to be established, he said: “We have to see what is to blame for the defeat. You cannot give contradictory messages to the citizens. It is important to understand the cause of the defeat. In the new venture we will have a clear political voice and we will be proud”.
