Regarding the talk that has opened about Mr. Kasselakis turning towards the center, Mr. Tsiodras pointed out that this presupposes some specific policies, which are not expressed by SYRIZA
The director of the Prime Minister’s Press Office, Dimitris Tsiodras, spoke to SKAI TV and Dimitris Oikonomou and Akis Pavlopoulos about dealing with accuracy and the developments in SYRIZA.
Speaking about dealing with punctuality, Mr. Tsiodras emphasized that “we fight every day and we do it with three things. First, with permanent increases given to salaries and pensions. Second, by helping the most vulnerable to cope. And thirdly, with constant checks on the market. In these ways we try in every way to keep the prices down. We are above. We are here and we are trying to provide solutions”.
“If there was a magic formula to put an end to the issue of accuracy with a law and an article, rest assured that we would have done it as other countries would have done it,” he underlined.
Referring to the developments in SYRIZA and the discussion about Mr. Kasselakis turning towards the center, Mr. Tsiodras pointed out that “the center is not a suit that you take out of the closet and put on and go out and show it to the world and say “now I’m a centrist. This presupposes some specific policies, which are not expressed by SYRIZA”.
“Every day we see a daily report of resignations,” noted Mr. Tsiodras and emphasized that “in order for SYRIZA to move forward, Mr. Kasselakis will have to bring a new political identity and a new political proposal. Such a thing does not exist so far.”
