It was submitted at noon to the president of the Parliament Konstantinos Tasoula the letter of 11 MPs who left SYRIZA to form a Parliamentary Group. The name of the new KO will be “New Left”.

The name and logo of the new KO were unveiled on Monday during an event at Serafion of the Municipality of Athens.

With the slogan “politics otherwise” and one bet New Left that will govern to change society based on justice and hope, the group of 11 MPs who left SYRIZA announced yesterday Tuesday the name and the imprint of the new parliamentary group.

Led by Alexis Haritsithe “11” announced the creation of the new body, which they described as a “first step”, before many more to come.

Both Mr. Haritsis and Efi Ahtsioglou, Nasos Iliopoulos and Euclides Tsakalotos who spoke at the gathering held in the crowded Serafion of the Municipality of Athens, gave the stamp of the new “venture”, as its leader described it, speaking of a different sample of politics, of a Left that will govern and of a world that is fairer and hopeful.

Mr. Haritsis left spikes against his leadership SYRIZAfired shots at his government Kyriakou Mitsotakis and promised that the New Left will be “present” in the European elections.

Euclides Tsakalotos and Nasos Iliopoulos have taken on the roles (parliamentary representatives), as well as Peti Perka (secretary of the Parliamentary Group).

The 11 that make up the new KO are as follows: Efi Ahtsioglou, Alexis Haritsis, Nasos Iliopoulos, Dimitris Tzanakopoulos, Theano Fotiou, Sia Anagnostopoulou, Meropi Tzoufi, Euclid Tsakalotos, Peti Perka, Hussein Zeibek and Ferhat Ozgiur.
