The plane of the Turkish president, Recep Tayyip Erdogan, landed a few minutes ago at “Eleftherios Venizelos” airport.

In addition to the plane with which the Turkish president arrived, two other planes carrying the Turkish ministers and their very large group also landed.
Under draconian police measures, Mr. Erdogan is expected to arrive at 11:30 at the Presidential Palace for the meeting with the President of the Republic. From the airport, the procession will enter Attiki street, from there to Mesogeion avenue and through Vasilissa Sophia will reach Herodou Attikou.
The Turkish president and his entourage travel in three of his own specially designed vehicles. The route should be done in less than 20 minutes.
The specially configured vehicles will be armored limousines, which can withstand even a chemical attack, since a special circuit is developed that prevents the entry of external gases. Their cost exceeds 3 million Turkish pounds, while it is said that it will bring to Greece the first Turkish TOGG SUV.

Until the afternoon, Katehaki – Mesogion – Vasil streets. Sofias – Kifissias – Vas. Konstantinou – Vas. Amalia – Alexandra – Michalakopoulou – Stadium – Panepistium and Academy will be a prohibited zone for the residents of the capital.

The Turkish president’s visit to Greece will last approximately 6 hours.
At 11:30, Erdogan will arrive at the Presidential Palace where he will meet with the President of the Republic, Katerina Sakellaropoulou, a meeting which will last 45 minutes. At 12:15, it will pass by the Maximos Palace.
There the two leaders will have a meeting in the presence of the foreign ministers and their advisors. At 13.00 Kyriakos Mitsotakis and Tayyip Erdogan will make statements and then the meeting of the Supreme Cooperation Council of the two countries will begin. The Turkish President will depart at 16.00 in the afternoon.
