The two sides acknowledge the progress of work on the construction of a second cross-border bridge in the Kipi-Ypsala region
In the context of the official visit of the enlarged Turkish delegation to Athens, the Minister of Infrastructure and Transport Christos Staikouras, accompanied by the general secretaries of Infrastructure Constantinos Magoulas and Transport Yiannis Xifaras, had a particularly productive meeting with his Turkish counterpart Abdulkadir Uraloglou.
During the meeting, issues of bilateral cooperation were discussed, mainly in the field of transport. Including, emphasis was placed on the railway cross-border connection, the construction of the Kipo-Ypsalo cross-border road bridge and the possible upgrade of the cooperation framework in the field of aviation.
There was a Joint Declaration/Declaration for the next Technical Committee convocation for the second bridge on the Evros, signed by the CEO of Egnatia Odou SA. Xsnstantinos Koutsoukos and Mr. director of the General Directorate of Highways of Turkey Selahattin Bayramkavus.
