A meeting with the Ambassador of Yemen to Italy, with parallel accreditation in Greece, Asmahan Abdulhameed Al-Toqi, was held by the Minister of Foreign Affairs, Nikos Dendias, who is in Rome.
The focus of the meeting was the developments in Yemen, issues of bilateral cooperation in the light of Mr. Dendias’s meeting with his counterpart from YemenAhmad Awad bin Mubarak, last November and the candidacy of Greece in the UN Security Council, according to a relevant post of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs on twitter.

Earlier, the Foreign Minister also had a meeting with him Ambassador of Uzbekistan with whom they discussed the cooperation between Greece and Uzbekistan, with emphasis on economic, trade and cultural relations, in view of the forthcoming visit of the Minister of Foreign Affairs to Tashkent.

During his visit, Mr. Dendias underlined the issue of the invalidity of the illegal and non-existent Turkish-Libyan “memorandum” in his talks with the Special Adviser to the Secretary-General of the United Nations on LibyaStephanie Turco Williams.
He reiterated Greece’s constructive stance on promoting stability in Libya.
