The prime minister participates in an event for vocational education and training at the Standard Vocational High School of Perama.

In his statements before the event, he said: “Today here from the Vocational High School of Perama we are sending a message of commitment to our central commitment to strengthening technical and professional education in our country.

Very soon we will have voted for one new bill which will demonstrate in practice the emphasis we place on technical education with substantial upgrading of vocational high schools, public IEK which are renamed and strengthened with thematic axeswith new training guides, mainly with a direct connection to the labor market.

So that we can pass the message, especially to young children, that vocational and technical education and training is not the poor relative of Higher Education, but a professional path that opens up excellent prospects for very profitable professional careers.”

The Minister of Education, Kyriakos Pierrakakis also before the start of the event on Vocational Education and Training, said: “The legislative initiative of the Ministry of Education on Vocational Education and Training builds and establishes the vision of Prime Minister Kyriakos Mitsotakis for upgrading vocational education in the country us.
