Presenting in Ankara the report of Turkish exports in 2023, Mr Recep Tayyip Erdogan he also made statements about Turkey’s foreign policy, indirectly referring to our country.
The Turkish president pointedly stated that “despite the third party interventions in the opposite directionwe tried to strengthen our relations with our neighbors based on an approach that will be mutually beneficial” – “Kazan-Kazan”, (win-win) as he characteristically said in his favorite expression.
He also stated that his country “overcame the differences of opinion that arose with some countries in the region, and brought her partnership back to the level it should be.” “We have never rejected the hand of friendship extended to our country. We went running to those who took a step towards us” he emphasized.
He claimed that “while our relations with the Turkish world have reached a historic high, we have tried to develop cooperation with Europe and America based on mutual respect” and added: “We shaped our foreign policy with a Turkish-centric but global perspective. There will be no coming back from this. Turkey will continue to increase the number of its friends.”
Referring to Turkish exports, he pointed out that in 2023 they reached 255.809 billion with an increase of 0.6% compared to last year, breaking a historical record.
