The Turkish authorities moved forward yesterday in 34 arrestswhile looking for 12 other “Israeli intelligence agents”.

The operations took place in eight cities, as reported by Manolis Kostidis, and were carried out after the Israelis threatened to target Hamas members wherever they were. According to Ankara, the agents were targeting Hamas members inside Turkey.

This development creates even greater tension in Turkey’s relations with Israel.

Haberturk presenter Meltem Ajet said: “We are talking about a big business. Here we are talking about mobilization in 8 cities and 34 people were arrested and most of them are foreigners. There are important details. They recruited people through social networks, or posting job ads, and the payments were made with cryptocurrencies so that there would be no traces of these payments. The operation was carried out in 8 cities. We have to see what this organization means inside Turkey.”

Cetiner Cetin, news director of the political security department, said: “Here we see an organization that operated inside Turkey on the orders of the Mossad and Israel’s secret services. But apart from that, the orders and goals were determined directly by Israel. This is a big risk. It is also almost certain that Israel will not accept its responsibilities and relations.”

Erdogan proposes a “Kazan – Kazan” formula for relations with neighbors

“With Europe and the US we have tried to develop relations with mutual respect”

The Turkish president said: “We did not allow the war barons to make our country part of the bloody conflicts in the north and the south. Despite the interventions of third parties in the opposite direction, we tried to strengthen our relations with our neighbors based on a ‘Kazan-Kazan’ (win-win) approach. By eliminating the different views with some countries in our region, we brought our cooperation back to the level it should be.

At the time when we reached historic levels in our relations with the Turkish world, we tried to develop cooperation with Europe and America based on mutual respect. We have never rejected the hand of friendship extended to our country. We ran to those who took a step towards us.”
