“The Epiphany, today, the great feast of Orthodoxy which signifies light, which signifies revelation. On this important celebration of Orthodoxy, I chose to be on the beautiful island of Poros, the third “green” island of our country, after Halki and Astypalaia. And I am here today to signal our emphasis on insularity and to reiterate that all our commitments will be fully met for all necessary infrastructure projects on our islands that will enhance their development footprint and accessibility. Happy birthday to everyone.”

After the festivities, Nikos Hardalias met with the mayor of Poros, Georgios Koutouzis, at the island’s town hall.
