At the same time, Washington reportedly clarified that the F-35 issue for Greece will be promoted.

As the journalist Sena Alkan typically reported, so far in the talks the prevailing position was to proceed with the integration of Sweden and at the same time to advance the issue of the concession of the F-16s in Turkey. But now the position of the USA expressed by Blinken in this visit is the following? ´´In the US there will be no problem in the F-16 process, but before you have completed Sweden’s accession to NATO. (…) But here we are talking about two different processes”.

“But Blinken maintains the position he expressed now: “First Turkey approves Sweden’s accession and then there will be no question about the inclusion of the F-16” and continues to maintain this position” noted the journalist.

It is noted that on today’s front page the newspaper “Hurriyet” notes that “Greece with F-16 Block 70 is already gaining an advantage in the Aegean”, speaking of great concern in Ankara.
