Mitsotakis at SKAI for Androulaki: Only buzzwords without substance – I was expecting something more serious

by

The Prime Minister, Kyriakos Mitsotakis, criticized his political opponents, Alexis Tsipras and Nikos Androulakis, in interview which he gave today, Saturday, on SKAI and on the show “Kalimera” with Giorgos Avtias.

The spearhead of the prime minister’s criticism of the SYRIZA president was the phrase: “Ask Mr. Tsipras to what extent he agrees with Mr. Polakis’s views. Through his silence and the support he provides, I realize that he believes them too. All this I think demonstrates and reminds Greek citizens of SYRIZA 2015, the yurushi in power, the tragic consequences of what we experienced in the first half. We are clearly told that “when we come back it will be different”.

The Prime Minister continued: “So who can blame the New Democracy for a regime, when they themselves have not just shown regime logic. Let me remind you that at the moment cases of referral to the Special Court for two SYRIZA Ministers are pending. I do not know what Justice will finally decide, the Parliament did its job, beyond that it is the responsibility of Justice. But who exactly is talking and blaming us for all these improbable things that Mr. Tsipras mentions in all his speeches?

In any case, I am talking to Mr. Tsipras, to the political leaders institutionally, because that is my obligation. “I have no intention of answering everything Tsipras says every day.”

Regarding the new president of KINAL, Nikos Androulakis, the prime minister said: “What is happening in KINAL, in PASOK, as they finally choose to end up with their name, concerns themselves. All I can say is that so far what I am hearing is impressively vague. They are buzzwords, they are titles without any content, without any substance, without any costing. I honestly did not expect that. I was expecting something more substantiated, something more serious. But it is still early. “There can be room for improvement in this area.”
