Prime Minister Kyriakos Mitsotakis met today with its CEO IntelPat Gelsinger, and then with the president and head of investment and financial affairs (President, Chief Investment Officer, Chief Financial Officer) of AlphabetGoogle parent Ruth Porat, and Google’s president of Europe, Middle East and Africa (EMEA) operations, Matt Brittin, at the World Economic Forum in Davos, Switzerland.

During the meetings the investment opportunities offered by Greece were discussedthe comparative advantages and economic performance of our country, with high growth rates that consistently exceed the European average, as well as developments in artificial intelligence, an area in which the Prime Minister’s interlocutors congratulated him on the government’s initiatives.

Kyriakos Mitsotakis referred to the digital transformation of the statethe emergence of the Greek ecosystem of high-tech companies, the moves the government has made to map the opportunities and challenges arising from developments in the field of artificial intelligence, and the high level of specialization and education offered by the Greek education system .

During the meeting with Google executives the possibilities of cooperation in the use of high technology for the prediction of extreme weather phenomena and natural disasters were discussed.

They were still discussed ways of using artificial intelligence to optimize the operation of traffic lights in the Attica Region.

Mr Gelsinger, Ms Porat and Mr Brittin congratulated the Prime Minister on his re-electionwhile emphasizing the importance of political stability, in an environment of international uncertainty and limited visibility for the future.
