“On January 15, the trial of the ND parliamentary candidate, personal friend of Adonis Georgiadis and his partner at the Ministry of Labor, Stamatis Poulis, of Mr. Poulis’s wife and partner of Adonis, Andronikis Theofilatos, of the then financial director of KEELPNO, Aikaterinis, began. Polyzos, and the then director of KELPNO Theodoros Papadimitriou”, points out in his statement the EPEKE coordinator of SYRIZA-PS, Pavlos Polakis.

“The trial concerns the implementation of 22 illegal recruitments by KEELPNO during the tenure of Adonis Georgiadis, and the charges facing the then executives of KEELPNO are related to criminal acts of disloyalty, with the financial damage estimated for KEELPNO at approximately 250,000 euros. It should be noted that the 22 employees who were hired on paper to meet the needs of the KEELPNO structures, were actually working as seconded employees in the office of Adonis Georgiadis”, he says and continues:

“According to a previous publication by Documento, on December 18, 2023, the Board of Directors of EODY (formerly KEELPNO) unanimously decided to submit a statement in support of the charge, while in another decision it asked the deputy professor Mr. Giorgos Triantafyllou to draw up an opinion and take the necessary actions to represent the Organization. On January 12, the Board of Directors of EODY meets again and – miraculously – decides that EODY will not be legally represented in the trial and will not proceed with a statement of representation in support of the charge”.

“What happened and EODDY made a 180 degree turn in a few days? How coincidental is the fact that during this time the leadership of the Ministry of Health changed and the minister was replaced by the protector of the accused, Mr. Adonis Georgiadis? Why is the Maximos Palace covering for Adonis Georgiadis through the government representative Mr. Marinakis, falsely claiming that the legal advisers of the EODY in their proposal state that there is no damage to the organization?” asks P. Polakis and asks the government representative to give “the relevant suggestion, because it seems at least funny, that the legal advisers estimated that the 20 illegal recruitments, if they turn out to be such, did not have a financial loss for the organization”.

” Will the Minister of Health take a position on the issue or leave the dirty work to Maximos? Let Adonis Georgiadis tell us, at the meeting he had a few days before the decision was changed, with the president and the vice-president of EODY, did they discuss the disputed trial or only about the coronavirus?” concludes the statement of P. Polakis.
