The people are now approaching and listening to PASOK, emphasized Mr. Katrinis
PASOK has a double goal, which is the second place in the European elections and in addition a significant increase in its percentages, such that it certifies that it is on a trajectory of dynamic rise so that in the next national elections it will be the alternative government proposal that will challenge the New Democracy.
Speaking to ERT NEWS, the parliamentary representative of the PAOSK-Movement of Change, Michalis Katrinis, emphasized this, regarding the opinion polls that show PASOK as the second party and PASOK’s goal in view of the European elections, Mr. Katrinis stated:
As he mentioned, the people are now approaching and listening to PASOK, they are returning to PASOK despite the differences of the past, because they see that there is a perspective and there is a substantial opposition to the government with proposals and solutions.
He estimated that some people are trying in the public debate to pass the view that Mr. Mitsotakis and his policy is a one-way street.
“However, PASOK proposes a different path, submitting specific proposals for the economy, accuracy, social housing, public health and demographics, for all those things that concern citizens in their daily lives,” he said characteristically.
In relation to the country’s demographic problem, the PASOK parliamentary representative stated that Greece is aging and demographics is a national issue, for which PASOK has tabled specific and substantial proposals, such as universal access to public daycare centers which will host all the children, so that families are not forced to be taken to the private sector, at their own expense.
He talked about practical incentives for mothers who have a third child, which means not just an allowance, but more practical support with the possibility of, for example, a job in a social structure for a mother with three children.
“We, as PASOK, prioritize the problems and say that demographics is the biggest issue in Greece, so policies and resources should, as a priority, be aimed at supporting young couples. On the initiative of the late Fofi Gennimata, a competent inter-party committee was set up, whose findings remained – for the most part – on paper” he said
“From the government, we hear announcements, promises and individual benefits with a communication goal, but the results are meager, as evidenced by daily life, especially for young couples in urban centers, where in many cases there is no support from the close family environment “, he said characteristically.
