The Minister of National Defense, Nikos Panagiotopoulos, sent a strict message to Turkey from the floor of the Parliament during his discussion. bill on the country’s defense shield with Rafale fighter jets and Behlarra frigates.
“Everything that is threatened is not demilitarized,” he said, responding effectively to the demands raised by the Anchor for the Greek islands.
“The Rafale will cover the whole Aegean with their weapons and wings, and Turkey, with its revisionist and provocative stance, is raising the issue of demilitarization. What is threatened is not demilitarized. “It’s four words with a very clear meaning,” he said.
A similar message was sent to Ankara earlier by the Prime Minister, noting that the door to Greece is always closed to any threat. He added, however, that our country always keeps the window open in any dialogue based on international legitimacy.
In fact, he accused Ankara of distorting the truth and being in a state of disarray for the Greek islands, at the same time falsifying the conditions, the history and the geography.
“However, they received an immediate response from everyone in order to turn wiser in their internal affairs,” he stressed.
