In Volos found tonight the Minister of State Makis Voridis to attend an event of ONNED Volos and with his statements he referred to the current government situation and the problems of the country’s rural world, since before arriving in the capital of Magnesia he also passed through the agricultural block of Almyros and emphasized that “we continue to discuss with particular emphasis and sensitivity to the issues of Thessaly as well, because there are areas in which the producers have been tested”.

Regarding the issue of the farmers of Thessaly, Mr. Voridis added that “in the next few days we will announce the date and place of the meeting with the farmers. This meeting will take place with the prime minister. We know the issues and I explained the possibilities we have. The mobilizations of the farmers help the prime minister in the renegotiation of the Common Agricultural Policy and in this part we have a strategic agreement with the farmers, because the truth is that the CAP was formed as it was under the pressure of the European Parliament with the tripartite agreement of the European Commission. of the European Council and the European Parliament, which has a majority of socialists, leftists and environmentalists, who led us on the green transition and that is what led to a compromise.”

And Mr. Voridis added that “the Government as an opponent has problems. We are dealing with the issues of punctuality, we are advancing our reform work, we voted to tighten the penalties of the Criminal Code, we will vote on March 7 and 8 on non-state universities and we have a lot of work to do at all levels.”

Together with the Minister of State Makis Voridis, the president of ONNED Orfeas Georgiou was in Volos and had a series of contacts and meetings in the context of the visit to Thessaly.
