Qatar’s strong will to strengthen and expand cooperation with Greece is expressed by the Qatari ambassador to Greece, Ali Al Mansouri, on the occasion of today’s visit of Prime Minister Kyriakos Mitsotakis to Doha.

“The two countries are experiencing steady economic growth and there is a common desire and broad potential for partnership development, especially in the fields of energy, investment, trade, transport, culture, education, tourism and sports,” he says in particular.

In a statement to the Athens-Macedonian News Agency, Qatar’s ambassador to Greece underlines the importance of the visit for bilateral relations. “It is of great importance, as it confirms the will of the two countries to strengthen their bilateral relations and their desire to expand and deepen said cooperation in new areas and horizons, with the aim of serving the interests of the two friendly peoples and strengthening of regional and international peace and security,” emphasizes the Qatari ambassador.

He points out that the Greek Prime Minister’s official visit to Doha is the second, after assuming his duties, and underlines that it confirms the tightening of bilateral relations between the two friendly countries.

In fact, he considers that the said visit is an opportunity for an extensive dialogue and exchange of views regarding recent developments, in all regional and international relations and underlines the joint effort of the two countries to solve international problems and conflicts, through diplomatic channels and observing the Principles of the United Nations Charter governing international relations.

“The visit of the Greek Prime Minister to the State of Qatar on Saturday, February 24, 2024, is of great importance, as it confirms the will of the two countries to strengthen their bilateral relations and their desire to expand and deepen said cooperation in new areas and horizons, with the aim of serving the interests of the two friendly peoples and strengthening regional and international peace and security.
