To create an army in which our worthy professional officers will be complemented by reserve elements, which will be adequately trained, he emphasized, today, Saturday February 24, the Minister of National Defense Nikos Dendias during his visit to the School of Reserve Infantry Officers (SEAP), in Heraklion, Crete.

He called the fact that he returned to SEAP “after many years” a “special joy and honor”. “Here I served and became a reserve officer” he added.

Mr. Dendias emphasized the “need to strengthen the reserve” and to create an army “in which our worthy professional officers will be supplemented by reserve elements, which will be adequately trained.”

“The day after tomorrow”, he continued, “I will be in Finland where I will be shown the Finnish model, which we would like to adapt to Greek conditions in order to create, within the framework of the 2030 Agenda, the new modern Greek army”.

Referring to the two years since the Russian invasion of Ukraine, he said: “We should mark this anniversary, so that we all realize what a great threat, what a real threat revisionism is to the 21st century.”

“How powerful states are trying to impose their will on their neighboring states beyond International Law, beyond the provisions of the United Nations Charter” concluded the Minister of National Defense.
