“We seek the support of a social majoritywhose life is constantly made worse by every shade of gray in right-wing politics. We are not here to talk cheap, nor to waste valuable political time. We are here to help the place and its people, to make a beautiful present and prepare a meaningful future for our young people. We look forward to rebuild a wounded homeland. And we are looking carefully to find our footing in a Europe that has long since stopped being accountable to its citizens and accountable to them. In this Europe we will fight the next big electoral battle: to win the mind and soul of progressive Europe, which is mired in the dead ends of the right and is in danger from the fallacies of the extreme right.

SYRIZA-PS, the strongest leftist and progressive force in Europe will stand as a rampart against the right and the extreme right who go hand in hand. Our party assumes those responsibilities that are self-evident for the history of the Greek Left and all progressive forces.

The day after the 4th Congress of SYRIZA – Progressive Alliance is a day of hope and action. The Congress gave a clear mandate to transform the party. We need a strong party, the party of the members, with new procedures, with new ways of organization; a party away from and beyond games of correlations and balances. With a strong mandate they authorized me to proceed with the necessary structural expansion for a great Progressive Alliance, which will win over the Right of Kyriakos Mitsotakis.

We’re not looking back. All our forces are gathering, are organized and ordered, in order to achieve the great democratic change that Greece needs. We have positions with a clear social reference. We have open channels with society. We are determined to support the good of our country, based on social justice and the advancement of our people. We are more than optimistic. We are leftist and we are real.”
