To the families of the victims, the rescued, as well as the entire Greek society, we declare our strong commitment to a double duty:

1st Independent from the judicial investigation, the investigation by the National Organization for the Investigation of Aviation and Railway Accidents and Transport Safety (E.O.D.A.S.A.A.M.) of the systemic safety problems that led to the accident, with the aim of take the necessary interventions, which will contribute to the prevention of railway accidents in the future.

2nd Strengthening the safety level of rail travel. Already, in the last year, based on the planning of the Ministry, the contracts related to the installation of the remote control and signaling systems on the main railway axis were completed.

This effort continues and takes place simultaneously with the demanding work of restoring the extensive damage caused to the network in September 2023 by the storm “Daniel”.
