The exact measures are being discussed in the ongoing cabinet meeting.

In his introductory statement, the Prime Minister, Kyriakos Mitsotakis, pointed out that the effort to improve everyday life, dealing with punctuality, supporting agricultural products and upgrading public health are a priority.

“There has been a sustained push for more affordable shelf prices for months now, as inflation is holding back on some items. We have already put a cap on the companies’ margin in baby formula, where the increases have indeed been large and often unjustified. At the same time, we are limiting the supplies of suppliers to supermarkets. The results of these interventions will be seen gradually, the first messages are encouraging” continued the prime minister.

He emphasized that the government expects the initial prices on 1,500 products to be reduced from the beginning of March and therefore also the finals on these reduced ones.

About him minimum wage he said that “in the next cabinet we will decide on the increase of the minimum wage which will be implemented from April 1″ Kyriakos Mitsotakis added, saying that these interventions on incomes will be a decisive answer to the problem of accuracy that has plagued us for the last 3 years.

“We need targeted measures for this and we do not underestimate chronic distortions in the way the market works and our interventions are indeed structural.”

Regarding the subject matter of the ministry, he said:

The Minister of Development will present our programming. I remind you that more than 20,000 checks have been carried out, we have imposed and collected fines, while we will also discuss product protection with the aim of ensuring quality and reliability and dealing with the scourge of Greekisation. In Brussels, 19 proposals to improve the CAP have already been submitted, and as we enter the final stretch of the European elections, it is important that our party highlight the need to restructure the CAP.

I will be in Thessaly soon to meet with the producers to see how much faster we can move for restoration and compensation after Daniel’s passing.

In the health sector, many things are happening. The NHS is changing and changing at many different levels. Renovations of hospitals and Health Centers are progressing, afternoon surgeries are starting. Let me remind those who are reacting today, it was discussed and institutionalized for the first time without being implemented 20 years ago, but the Minister will also present a new set of measures.

The Minister of National Defence will present an innovative design. These are proposals that should have been completed a long time ago. The Minister was very recently in Finland, which is a model country, where we plan to establish an IT department.”
