The General Secretary of the Central Committee of the KKE Dimitris Koutsoubas, in his interview with ANT1, on Thursday, February 29, 2024, referred to the tragedy of Tempi and emphasized that “it is a heavy debt and promise of the KKE and also of the majority of the people, from the first moment, that he will fight to get the knife to the bone, to examine all the political and criminal responsibilities for the tragedy”.

He reported the “attempt to cover up the responsibilities of all the parties that governed, ND, SYRIZA, PASOK, and put their little stone in the case of the privatization of the railways” while he also pointed out “the criminal responsibilities that bear, apart from the ministers in the field of Transport, the regional authorities, especially in the last phase the Region of Thessaly, the state apparatus, the private Italian company that manages part of the railway, the public TRAINOSE, the managers, the supervisors, up to the employees who are placed there and manage the practical issues of train movement».

He also pointed out “the responsibilities and Justice for the delays that occurred in various phases of the crime investigation process, such as the failure to seize the camera material from the stations where the two trains left to determine what they were carrying on the fatal journey that ended in a major explosion, out of conflict.”

D.
