The bill for innovation in the Armed Forces was presented by Minister of National Defense, Nikos Dendiasat today’s cabinet meeting, chaired by Prime Minister Kyriakos Mitsotakis.
“The bill will go to public consultation, it is a piece of legislation that in principle concerns a new phase in the “2030 Agenda” of the Armed Forces, i.e. the introduction of Innovation. The Greek Innovation Center will be created, which will unite the needs of the Armed Forces Forces with the new technology, as well as with the ecosystem of the defense operations of Greece”, said Mr. Dendias on his way out of the Maximos Palace.
At the same time, he announced the creation of an Informatics Corps (the department will be established at the Military School of Officer Corps), “with a special Cyber ​​Security Directorate, we call it “Unit 1864″, to protect the Armed Forces, but also the Greek public sector in general , from the threats of the new era”, he concluded.
