Pulse poll for SKAI: ND is firmly ahead, 17.5 points

At 17.5% he gives the difference between New Democracy and the second party in the event of a national election next Sunday, the new poll conducted by the company Pulse on behalf of SKAIand which was conducted in the period 27 February – 1 March 2024 on a sample of 1,106 voters.

The poll, which he presented Sia Kosioni in the main bulletin of SKAIanalyzes how the citizens and voters of SYRIZA evaluate the latest developments in the party after the congress that was held, what the electorate thinks about non-state universities and the student occupations against the bill and also the attitude of the voters in view of the European elections such as also in case of holding national elections next Sunday.

For SYRIZA after the conference

In more detail, regarding the developments in the official opposition party after the conference and the intervention of Alexis Tsipras, to the question, what does SYRIZA end up with from a political point of view over the entire sample 56% answer that the party is leaving weakened, 25% the same and only 8% strengthened.

On the contrary, among those who intend to vote for SYRIZA 45% believe that the party came out stronger after the conference, 38% the same and 10% weakened.

Regarding the president of SYRIZA – PS Stefanos Kasselakis out of the total sample, 37% believe that after the conference they go out weakened, 34% the same and 17% enhanced. On the contrary, among those who intend to vote for SYRIZA58% believe that the party president comes out stronger after the convention.

As for his intervention Alexis Tsipras and how the former party president fares after the convention, over the entire sample 48% say weakened, 31% the same and 7% enhanced. Of those who intend to vote for SYRIZA 41% believe that nothing has changed.

More generally, after the conference comparatively and on the whole sample the 56% believe that in general the SYRIZA party comes out weakened, 48% Alexis Tsipras and 37% the Stefanos Kasselakis.

Of those intending to vote for SYRIZA – PSby comparison 58% believe that Stefanos Kasselakis is the one who comes out stronger, 45% SYRIZA and 30% that Alexis Tsipras comes out weakened.

For non-state universities

Another issue raised in the poll was this of non-state universities and the bill which is expected to be voted on next Friday.

To the question, in your opinion, what is the Government’s bill for the operation of non-state higher education institutions in our country, 52% believe it is in the right direction with some improvements though.

Per voting intention91% of those who intend to vote ND believe that the bill on non-state universities is in the right direction of which 39% claim that they want some improvements.

Concerning university occupationswhether or not it is the right way to react against the bill, 34% definitely disagree 21% definitely agree with them.

By voting intention, 60% of those who intend to vote ND, definitely disagrees with the sit-ins as a way of reacting against the bill.

For the European elections

Concerning the participation of voters in the European elections, to the question whether you are going to vote 86% said they would go to vote.

Per voting intention, 95% of those intend to vote ND they say they are going to vote in the upcoming European elections. 91% of those intending to vote for SYRIZA-PS and 76% of those for PASOK-KINAL.

Voting intention in national elections

Specifically, in voting intention on the whole sample, and on the question if we had a national election next Sunday what would you vote for, 29.5% would vote for ND, while SYRIZA and PASOK seem to be “hitting each other” gathering the same percentage, 12%. It is followed by the KKE with 7.5%, the Hellenic Solution with 7%, Niki with 3%, while Spartans, Pleussi Eleftherias and New Left collect 2.5%. MePA25 collects 2%. The undecided reach 13%.

As for the battle for second place, shown in the diagram below SYRIZA-PS and PASOK to fight with the main opposition party steadily losing ground and PASOK-KINAL gaining slightly.

In vote estimation, based on distribution of undecideds the ND gathers 35.5% while SYRIZA-PS and PASOK-KINAL fight again gathering the same percentage, 14%. Followed by the KKE with 9%, the Hellenic Solution with 8.5%, the Victory party with 4% , Spartans, Freedom Sailing and New Left 3%. MePA25 collects 2.5%.

To the question who is considered the most suitable prime minister, The Kyriakos Mitsotakis leads by a large margin of 34% and followed by Stefanos Kasselakis with 10%Nikos Androulakis with 8%, Dimitris Koutsoumbas and Kyriakos Velopoulos tied with 6% and Zoe Konstantopoulou with 4%.
