The Presidency of the Republic issued a statement in which it is stated that the President of the Republic Katerina Sakellaropoulou has sent invitations to the Archbishop of Athens and All Greece Ieronymos, as well as the Members of the Permanent Holy Synod, for the established meal she is hosting in their honor at the Presidential Palace, with the occasion of the Feast of Orthodoxy.
It is also noted that they are always welcome at the Presidential Palace, but at the same time their decision as to whether to accept the invitation is respected.
The announcement from the Presidency comes after the decision of the Holy Synod to celebrate the Sunday of Orthodoxy, on March 24, in the Catholic Church of the Holy Monastery of the Incorporeal Petrakis, and not in the Metropolitan Cathedral of Athens as is customary.
In particular, the announcement is as follows:

The President and the Members of the I.I.S. they are always welcome at the Presidential Palace, but at the same time their decision as to whether to accept the invitation is respected.”
