The statements of the Minister of Development were commented on by Giorgos Nikitiadis, Member of Parliament for Dodecanese and responsible for K.T.E. Development of the PASOK Movement for Change.

According to his statement, “Mr. Skrekas is hiding the truth about the prices”, while – referring to the “Lent basket” – he emphasizes that “development with “baskets” and “pass” are incompatible concepts.

The Nikitiadis statement in detail

“The Minister of Development, Mr. Skrekas, announces daily price reductions in thousands of products and systematically avoids responding to our revelations that in 10% of the announced products the prices increased by up to 20%, in 33% the prices remained stable, in 35 % decreased by only 5% and in 15% the prices decreased from 5% to 10%.

Mr. Skrekas stubbornly refuses for two months to announce the products on which he had imposed a fine and also refuses to talk with data about the prices before and after the alleged… reductions.

We leave the “Lenten basket” untouched. The Government lives in its own arrogant microcosm completely alienated from the Greek reality. Development with “baskets” and “pass” are incompatible concepts.
