“New Democracy welcomes Sotirios Serbos, associate professor of International Politics at the Democritus University of Thrace.

He was born in Thessaloniki in 1976. He studied Political Science at the University of Macedonia and at the London School of Economics and Political Science and prepared his doctoral thesis at EKPA, with a research field of EU-Turkey relations.

He worked as a diplomatic advisor to the president of PASOK-KINAL, as a scientific director of policy planning at the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and as a special advisor at the ministries of Finance, Foreign Affairs, National Defense and Macedonia-Thrace.

He is active in the field of international consulting services, while he has experience in negotiations and the development of strategic planning staff bodies.

He has worked in the field of US-EU relations and the crises in the Eurozone and Ukraine, while in 2018 he represented the Education sector in the national campaign to promote Greek-American relations on behalf of the US.
