Christos Spirtzis mentioned the fierce conflict that has erupted between the government and SYRIZA over the professional activities of Mr. Kasselakis, as well as the commission of inquiry for Tempi, on SKAI’s SIMERA show.

Let Mr. Kasselakis answer

Asked about this, Mr. Spirtzis stated that all politicians should be transparent and Mr. Kasselakis “has no reason not to answer, he has nothing to fear”.

“We have to go even deeper as the law on pothen esches should be improved, tightened. The law that prohibits party leaders from participating in foreign companies was passed in the context of harmonization with a directive of the European Union,” pointed out Mr. Spirtzis.

With reference to the issue that has arisen and the criticism of the party’s finances following the complaints of the former director of SYRIZA, Mr. Spirtzis emphasized that “the competent bodies must function and provide answers”.

The image of the examination committee is sad

Mr. Spirtzis, responding to the work of the commission of inquiry, stated that “the picture that the commission of inquiry has produced is sad. And on the part of the majority to not allow witnesses to come to testify, but also the extreme voices of the opposition, what Greek society expected did not come out”

Asked to comment on the conclusion of SYRIZA which speaks of criminal responsibilities of persons, Mr. Spirtzis said that “Mr. Karamanlis, Mr. Karagiannis, Mr. Chrysohoides and I should be checked by the regular investigator if there is any suspicion and if criminal responsibilities arise we will go to court obviously. My party, in its conclusion, says that with the evidence that has emerged, it speaks of specific responsibilities and says that all political figures must be checked by justice. I think that all of us who have served in positions of responsibility must put ourselves not in a logic like that where we hear “everyone is to blame” because you don’t get it that way. We must demand that regular justice investigate everything, we owe it to Greek society and I will take initiatives in this direction.”
