Agathi-Rosa Vretto

Agathi-Rosa Vrettou is a doctor – cardiologist, Deputy Secretary of the Health Sector of PASOK. She serves as a NHS Supervisor at the 2nd University Cardiology Clinic of PGN “Attikon”. He studied at the Medical School of the National and Kapodistrian University of Athens and is a Doctor of Medicine from the same School. He has specialized in Echocardiography and Cardiac Magnetic Tomography at Emory University Hospital, Atlanta, Georgia, USA, with a scholarship from the Hellenic Cardiology Society. He is an editorial board member at BMC Cardiovascular Disorders.

He was the President of the cardiovascular imaging association of the Hellenic College of Cardiology in the two years 2016-2018 and an elected member of the Scientific Council of PGN “Attikon” (2017-2018). In the area of ​​Health Economics, he attended the two-year Executive Master’s program of the London School of Economics (2019-2021) in the corresponding subject, receiving the Master’s title in December 2021. For the above program, after being selected at the European level, he received scholarship of the European Society of Cardiology.

Agathi-Rosa Vretto was elected secretary of the student organization of N. PASOK in 1992, while from the same year until 2001 she was an elected member of the PASOK Central Youth Council. He was elected additional secretary of the PASOK Youth International Relations Department in 2000 and Vice President of YES from 2001-2003 (Young European Socialists – then ECOSY European Community Organization of Socialist Youth). He was a PASOK Member of Parliament in 2007 and a member of the Committee on Educational Affairs.

She is originally from Lefkada, where she grew up and is the mother of one child.

Ilias Kikilias

Ilias Kikilias, with post-graduate studies and a PhD in economic sciences, holds the position of Director of Research at the National Center for Social Research while at the same time, he exercises the duties of the General Director at the Institute of the Association of Greek Tourism Enterprises. He is also the Secretary of the Development and Investment Sector of PASOK-Movement for Change. From December 2009 to April 2013 he served as the Governor of the OAED and in the past he was the Director General of the National Labor Institute.

He has served as Vice President and member of the Board of Directors. of the National Center for Social Research, member of the Board of Directors of CEDEFOP of the European Commission and is a member of the Economic and Social Committee. He has participated in a significant number of high-level committees at European and national level, including the Employment Committee, the Social Protection Committee and the Economic Policy Committee of the Council of the European Union, the High Level Group on the Social Dimension and Employment in Society of Information, the Committee for Analysis, Research and Cooperation on Employment and the Labor Market, the Advisory Committee on Vocational Training of the European Commission as well as groups of independent experts with the task of preparing reports for the European Parliament and the European Committee regarding the effects of the processes of European integration.

He has taught at domestic and foreign universities, has collaborated with Pantheon University and the University of Cambridge in the United Kingdom, has coordinated a large number of research programs at the national and international level and has an important work of scientific publications, books, articles and research reports as well as extensive articles and interviews in print and electronic media.

Panagiotis Dimopoulos

Panagiotis Dimopoulos was born in 1964 in Athens, originally from the village of Serbos Gortynias and Petralona Zaharos-Figalias.

He is a Biologist and currently Professor of Botany and Ecology, at the Department of Biology of the University of Patras. He is one of the most recognizable scientists in the field of environment in Greece and in Europe with more than 8300 references (h-index 44), with more than 160 scientific publications in international journals and more than 230 participations in national and international conferences. He has written 21 books and didactic manuals about the protection and management of the natural environment and has edited and translated into Greek 5 foreign language books or chapter books for students. In his career to date, he has coordinated more than 20 European and 40 National research projects and programs.

He has achieved significant academic distinctions and participation in EU fora and working groups on strategic and applied policy formulation for biodiversity, environment and sustainable development. He was the Coordination and scientific editor of the National Strategy and Action Plan for Biodiversity in Greece (2013 – 2014).

He has been involved in politics since his student years (PAMK 1979-1982) until today. He served the Democratic Party as a member of PASP (Panhellenic Competitive Student Party), member of the Patras City Office (1982-1987), member of PASOK (1987-2023). He has been a Special Advisor to the Minister of Labor (1996-2000) and the Minister of Environment and Climate Change (2013-2015). He has been (2012-2013), as he is today, Secretary of the Environment Department of PASOK-Movement for Change.

He has been the Vice Chancellor for Research and Development of the University of Patras (2020 – 2023), President of the University Research and Innovation Center of the University of Patras (2020 – 2023), President of the Department of Natural Environment and Natural Resources Management of the University of Ioannina and Patras (2005-2006, 2008- 2012, 2014-2016) and President of the North Pindos National Park Management Body (2004 – 2005). Today, he is the President of the National Commission for Natura 2000 Protected Areas and is a member of the Board of Directors. of the Natural Environment and Climate Change Organization (O.FY.PE.K.A).

He is married and has two daughters, Eugenia and Maria Anna.

Kostas Chrysogonos

He was born in 1961 in Serres and grew up in Thessaloniki. He received his law degree from A.P.Th. in 1983 and 1987 he was awarded a doctorate by the University of Hannover.

In 2003, he was unanimously elected a professor at the Faculty of Law of the University of Athens, specializing in Constitutional Law. He has also taught at the National School of Judges, at the Hellenic Open University and as a visiting professor at the Universities of Regensburg and Hanover. He is the author of about twenty books and over a hundred scientific studies in Greek, English and German. He also writes frequently for the daily press and is an active lawyer.

He became a citizen for the first time in the 2014 European elections and was elected MEP on the SYRIZA ballot. In March 2015, he warned Alexis Tsipras in a written letter about the disastrous effects of the Varoufakis policy, while in July of the same year, immediately after the announcement of the referendum, he openly broke with the leadership of SYRIZA and then left it, remaining independent. He developed great activity until 2019 in the European Parliament with hundreds of speeches, questions, proposals, etc. in favor of our national positions and interests. He joined PASOK. immediately after the election of Nikos Androulakis to its leadership at the beginning of 2022 and he was elected a member of the Central Committee and the Political Council. In the 2023 national election he was a candidate on the Territory ballot in honorary (non-elective) fifth place.
