Mr. Chr. Spirtzis once again expressed the opinion that “for what has been done in the last few years in the railway and for what has been done in relation to the crime of Tembo, we must all shed a lot of light. Let nothing be left in the gray zone, in the shadows,” he noted.
“There is no causal connection between the non-implementation of contract 717 (for remote control in the railway network) and the tragedy of Tempe” argued the former Minister of Infrastructure and Transport and SYRIZA Member of Parliament, Christos Spirtzis, “letting go” of those who attempt to connect them.
“I have said many times that the completion of a project, any project, cannot be linked to any accident. But that doesn’t mean it shouldn’t be investigated,” he said in an interview with “Real FM” radio station. He added, however, that “since the ‘717’ contract had not been completed there should have been additional measures and they had not been taken”.
