The prime minister is making an official visit to Canada today, Sunday and tomorrow, Monday, March 25 Kyriakos Mitsotakis.
Mr. Mitsotakis will have a series of meetings and contacts, starting with his meeting with his Canadian counterpartJustin Trudeauwhich is scheduled for 15:30 Greek time.
The meeting with Trudeau will be dominated by topics such as strengthening bilateral relations, emphasis on commercial / economic cooperation, international challenges and highlighting the historical ties of the two countries.
After all, an important part of the prime minister’s visit to Montreal will be the signing of the agreement for the supply of seven Canadairs to Greece. The agreement foresees the purchase of five aircraft for the needs of the Fire Service and two more, through the civil protection mechanism of the European Union. The total cost of the agreement reaches 360 million euros.
The Prime Minister’s program in detail for the two days (24-25/3) of his visit to Canada:
-On Sunday, at 15:30 Greek time, the Prime Minister will meet with his Canadian counterpart, Justin Trudeau, in Montreal.
-At 17:30 (ET) the Prime Minister will attend the doxology for the national holiday of March 25 at the Church of the Annunciation of the Theotokos.
-At 18:50 (ET) Kyriakos Mitsotakis and Justin Trudeau will attend the parade of clubs of the Hellenic Community of Greater Montreal.
-At 00:30 after midnight Greek time, the Prime Minister and his Canadian counterpart will attend and speak at an event of the Greek Community of Greater Montreal.
-On Monday morning, the Prime Minister will go to Toronto, where at 18:00 Greek time he will have a meeting with the provincial Premier of Ontario, Doug Ford.
-At 18:30 (ET) Kyriakos Mitsotakis will take part in an event of the Economic Club of Canada, where he will have a discussion with businessman Nik Nanos. A meeting with businessmen and a lunch in honor of the Prime Minister will follow.
-At 21:00 (ET) Kyriakos Mitsotakis will visit a research center in the Mars Discovery District.
-At 12:30 a.m. ET, the Prime Minister will attend and speak at an expatriate event at the Toronto Convention Center, which will be attended by Canadian Prime Minister Justin Trudeau.
