“The new revelations about the attempt to cover up the crime of Tempe by the government of New Democracy, which are published today in Vima of Kyriaki, are shocking,” says the SYRIZA – PS on the occasion of today’s publication of the newspaper “Vima tis Kyriakis” about the tragedy of Tempi.

According to the announcement of the party’s press office, “not even the sickest mind could conceive of such a scenario and no matter how much Mr. P. Marinakis tried to “throw the ball to the podium” (once again), they remain unanswered the questions about the falsified data. After all, he himself – in fact or not – actually confirmed the content of the publication.”

“New Democracy continues to turn a blind eye. He pretends he doesn’t know anything about editing or editing. It pretends not to see the responsibilities of its Ministers and executives, while at the same time it accuses SYRIZA of inciting violence”, Koumoundourou continues, pointing out:

“The newspaper report presents evidence from the Directorate of Criminal Investigations, which proves that there was a “stitching” of conversations, with the obvious purpose of strengthening the government’s narrative of only human error,” adds SYRIZA – PS, then putting “in the government of the alleged excellent” the following questions:

1) Who, when and on whose orders did the stitching together of sentences (editing) from successive conversations that the stationmaster had on the night of the accident with two different train drivers, so that it would appear that the Tempe tragedy was caused solely by human error?

2) Who, when and by whose order altered and falsified evidence, in order to hide the government’s responsibilities and mislead the citizens?

SYRIZA argues that “it is now clear that in this case the only stain that exists does not come from the publications, but from the multiple attempts to cover up the crime by government order”.

In closing, he asks the question “how and by what process did the government obtain information from the criminal case file, to which no one else (is entitled to) have access except the investigator?”
