“I appeal to Mr. Karamanlis for his lies which he unabashedly told on February 13th to the parliamentary inquiry committee, when he was persistently asked if he had any warnings about the risk of an incident. He had said there was no such thing. The next day, a confidential document was published in the “Demokratia” newspaper, an SOS letter to Mr. Karamanlis, which warns of the risk of a serious incident,” said Dora Avgeri speaking to SKAI.

“After the publication of this serious letter, the commission did not invite Mr. Tsalidis to testify and refused to send Mr. Karamanlis to criminal justice,” he said.

To the question why SYRIZA does not file a request for an investigation committee for this document, Ms. Avgeri replied “the blue faction has lost any external evidence that it can bear this burden” and added “in addition to the lies of Mr. Karamanlis, it is also being checked for other serious responsibilities such as failure to establish safety rules’.

He also accused the government of not responding yesterday to the complaint that “the recorded audio conversation was edited and the whole narrative was set up on individual responsibility”.
