On February 2, the residents of Aegina were once again without water. They again became recipients of the unacceptable consequences of the damage to the underwater pipeline that supplies the island with water, an unacceptable fact.

We immediately mobilized and filed a complaint with the Piraeus Prosecutor’s Office, against everyone responsible.

A few days later, we send 12 tons of bottled water. A second shipment of 8 tons of bottled water follows, in total as the #Attica_Region we sent 20 tons of drinking water.
With speed and solidarity in action, not just in words.

After the investigations and the notification of the finding, we put the manufacturing company in front of its responsibilities, as the prosecutor’s investigation speaks of material failure in the welding.
The relevant letter is also communicated to the Prosecutor’s Office, where we request the appointment of a special independent expert to oversee the entire rehabilitation process, which is accepted.

Today, the water runs back to the homes of the residents of Aegina, safely.

No one is going to be left alone. No area of Attica will be left without our care. Whoever is in front of us.
