Having broken the “barrier” of fifty days, until the polls of the European elections are set up, Megaro Maximos and Piraeus are speeding up and setting the entire ND party apparatus in full readiness.

The smiles brought to the blue faction by the latest opinion polls, which showed a halt in the leakages from the ND to “right-wing” mainly parties, brought restrained smiles, but in no way complacency.

On the contrary, they push the officials of the ruling party to be even more alert led by the prime minister who bears the brunt of this election campaign in

which has already given national characteristics. The main dilemma, which is expected to be heard emphatically from the prime minister’s lips throughout the pre-election period, is “stability or uncertainty” with which he attempts to give the character of national elections to the battle of the European elections, as well as stressing that “the more the stronger the ND comes out of the polls on June 9, the more stable the country will be” because a good result on Sunday evening will allow the ND and the government to continue the big changes it has launched and which the country needs.

In this light, from today and in the following days, those moves are expected on the pre-election chessboard that will bring ND officials to every corner of the country, to every town and village in order to communicate the government’s policies, what has been done and what is planned to be for the country, continuing the reform work that began in 2019, returning Greece to a leading role in Europe.

A leading role will still be played by Kyriakos Mitsotakis who has already started tours throughout Greece, as well as visits to regions and neighborhoods of Attica and which are expected to continue today, as according to information he will visit the vegetable market of Rentis, in view of and of Easter, at the same time sending the message that the government is present and understanding the exactness that still affects Greek households, will continue to rise above the specific problem insisting on policies and solutions to mitigate it.

At the same time, Piraeus and Megaro Maximou in full coordination are planning repeated meetings with MPs and ministers in the context of the organization of the tours of all the executives who are thrown into the pre-election battle. In this context, the prime minister is expected to meet the ministers who have taken charge of each Region for the European elections, while he will meet 20 MPs of the governing majority, starting with the MPs of the South and North Aegean and Crete.

In fact, the Minister of Education Kyriakos Pierakakis is expected to be in Crete, while two other top government officials, the Minister of National Defense, Nikos Dendias and the Minister of Health, Adonis Georgiadis are expected to tour Northern Greece, bearing the burden of the specificity and the “overthrow operation” ” of the trends displayed by the area in question, mainly in terms of the leaks that exist towards the parties that are more “right” than the ND and mainly the Hellenic Solution and Niki.

The main goal of the prime minister and all officials, from the local party officials to the top government officials, is to listen to the requests of local communities, but at the political level it is also a bet – although it is not expressed boldly – to maintain the percentage of the last Eurocalp, i.e. 33% , but at the same time to maintain the wide difference – which so far is also recorded in opinion polls – from the second party, whatever it is.
