Albanian Prime Minister Edi Rama sent a message to Greek Prime Minister Kyriakos Mitsotakis from the gathering in Galatsi.

According to Albanian media (top channel), at the end of his speech during the meeting with Albanian immigrants living in Greece, Edi Rama said:

“I apologize for any wrong you think I have done, but I have never betrayed those who trusted me with their vote, not even once for this extraordinary honor. There is no greater honor for a man in his life to lead his country. There is no material, economic, financial power, person or state that can tempt or pressure me to operate behind your back and violate the interests. This was my most beautiful visit to Athens and I don’t believe there will be a more beautiful one.”

I would also like to send a message on your behalf to my friend who was elected by the people of this country to lead Greece, Prime Minister Kyriakos Mitsotakis. In 1886 our poet Naim Frasheri wrote his poem in Greek “The true desire of the Albanians”. Let us live with all neighbors in order and peace, let us not become enemies and fight. Many thanks from me and the Albanians of Greece.
