“Turkey is the champion of inflation in Europe and 3rd in the world,” reports the Turkish press today.

“That’s enough! We can’t take it anymore” say Turkish citizens speaking in Turkish medium, as reported by Manolis Kostidis from Istanbul.

Inflation in Turkey climbed to 75.4%.

FATIH PORTAKAL- SOZCU TV PRESENTER: “Inflation! The teachers’ survey reports 120%, the Turkish Statistical Service reports 75% and something! Prime Minister Mehmet Simsek said that the worst days are behind us after we reached the top! But I don’t trust the man. I say it clearly, I don’t trust him.”

“We’re drowning here! That’s enough! If he can do something, let him do it. If not, get up and leave. That’s enough! We’re fed up, we can’t stand it!” citizens say.

“They are postponing raises for employees. The minister gave an order for 75% and thus 75% inflation was announced.”

“They are lying to us, inflation is at least 120-130%, they are doing this to not give increases to employees and pensioners.”
