He took back the characterization of “tins” for fellow ND MPs o Yannis Loverdosshortly after he unleashed them in an interview on the Parliament channel.

In a post on Facebook, he “collected” his statement, claiming that he had more to say.

“There are also tins in the ND Parliamentary group. In the great majority of them, the parliamentarians of the ND are very valuable. Are there no tins in Greek society? In all KOs there are both good and bad”, he characteristically said and added: “there are people I didn’t even know and I see them as consistent, they have an opinion and I wonder why they haven’t been used yet”.

Mr. Loverdos also admitted that the percentage of the party in the last national elections, created arrogance and led some to “ride the rod”.

“Good morning. Today on the program “Morning Review” on the Parliament channel, I was asked by journalists if the parliamentary group of the ND does not have a “bench” and parliamentary persons should not be used in the government because they are not worthy, I emphasized that the KO of the ND is the best there is and most of its members are excellent and should be primarily used in a governmental scheme. This is my opinion. Of course there will be MPs who do not deserve it, as in all parliamentary groups, as in every society. In the course of the conversation in a lively discussion, my position was apparently misinterpreted, possibly maliciously. And that’s why I have no problem admitting my mistake and apologizing. What is certain is that the overwhelming majority of the KO consists of highly valuable executives, all of whom I believe can become ministers and deputy ministers.
