The assurance that as a Macedonian he himself will do everything he can to upgrade Macedonia and Thrace the Minister of the Interior Theodoros Livanios attended the handover ceremony at Ministry of Macedonia and Thrace from Stathis Konstantinidis to Kostas Giulekas.

He even announced that in collaboration with the Deputy Minister of the Interior, Vassilis Spanakis, once a month they will visit the Ministry of Macedonia and Thrace and in the Governor’s Office meetings will be held mainly with elected officials of the self-government, while as YMATH said, it will be open to all agencies.

“The guideline of Prime Minister Kyriakos Mitsotakis and Minister of Interior Theodoros Livanios is to raise Macedonia and Thrace even higher and we have the will and the appetite to do that,” said the new Deputy Minister Kostas Giulekas, while at the same time declaring that he would honor the mandate of the prime minister and the trust of the citizens.

Mr. Giulekas referred to the great importance that the assumption of the Ministry of Macedonia and Thrace has for him, because he is the grandson of a Macedonian fighter and a man who fought in the Balkan Wars, Ilias Giulekas. He expressed his joy because he received from the Macedonian Stathis Konstantinidis and the Minister of the Interior is the also Macedonian Theodoros Livanios.
Mr. Konstantinidis presented a brief calculation of his work in the 12 months at YMATH and emphasized the need to upgrade his role and operation.

The ceremony that took place at the Governor’s Office was attended by the regional governor of Central Macedonia Apostolos Tzitzikostas, the coordinator of the Prime Minister’s Office in Thessaloniki Elena Sokou, the president of KEDE and mayor of Ampelokipi Menemeni Lazaros Kyrizoglou, the president of PED Central Macedonia and mayor of Pylaia-Hortiatis Ignatios Kaitezidis, the mayors of Thessaloniki Stelios Angeloudis, Thermis Theodoros Papadopoulos, Theromaikou Theodoros Tzekos, the president of TIF-Helexpo Tassos Tzikas, representatives of chambers and other organizations.
