The Minister of Climate Crisis and Civil Protection, Vassilis Kikiliaswith a post on social media, congratulated the Civil Protection forces for the immediate containment of the dangerous fire that occurred last night in Keratea.
Mr. Kikilia’s post last night in detail:
“Just before the end of the day, the Civil Protection forces won another fierce battle. 120 firefighters with 38 vehicles, 4 forest commando teams and a number of volunteer firefighters with water vehicles managed to contain the fire in Keratea in just 1 hour in the middle of the night, and without the valuable assistance of aerial means.
The Civil Protection forces immediately faced 3 more dangerous fires in Attica today, while they made superhuman efforts to protect houses, human lives and forests in Evia, Andros, Peloponnese and Evros. Congratulations to everybody!”
