Mr. Kasselakis calls the progressive parties, as he says, “on a front against the cover-up”
“One year after the Pylos shipwreck, every active citizen is asking for answers, as are the relatives of the people who drowned off the coast of our homeland and the hundreds of missing people,” says Stefanos Kasselakis in a post on social media.
Its president SYRIZA-PS states that “the Ombudsman, Andreas Pottakis, has started investigative procedures for 10 officers who were monitoring the ship before it sank, as we learn from foreign media reports”.
“He started the procedure ex officio after the refusal of the Coast Guard to investigate the case” notes Mr. Kasselakis and asks:
“Who does the government’s anxiety over his immediate replacement serve? The Rule of Law? Democracy? Justice?”
He argues that “wiretapping, Tempi and the wreck of Pylos have a common denominator”, the “cover-up attempt” and that “the debt of the progressive forces is the embankment in the government’s methods”.
Mr. Kasselakis calls the progressive parties, as he says, “on a front against the cover-up”. “Let us not allow with our vote the replacement of Mr. Pottakis before the completion of the investigation. Let plenty of light fall”, he emphasizes.
