According to information, all four who have been summoned for explanations as suspects, delivered relevant memoranda through their lawyers, while the deputy prosecutor of the supreme court is studying the memoranda and the findings he collected from the surprise control he carried out a few days ago at the offices of the EYP. in order to reach the next steps of the investigation, possibly with the calls of other persons as suspects for the wiretapping.

The four who have already been summoned, opening the circle of natural persons in whom the prosecutor’s investigation concluded with indications of involvement in telephone surveillance, are private businessmen, who in one way or another participated in the companies that have been reported as being involved in telephone surveillance, case which has caused intense reactions at the political level, while at the same time it has drawn harsh criticisms outside of Greece as well.

In testimony of Vlachos, Kontoleon

And while the deputy prosecutor of the supreme court is now at a critical stage with regard to the ongoing investigations, already according to information, in addition to the lawyer Grigoris Dimitriadis who was in a critical position in the Maximos Palace and was called as a witness by the deputy prosecutor, as witnesses he has also been called and Prosecutor Vassiliki Vlachou, who was in charge of the Public Prosecutor’s Office during the critical time of the complaints about surveillance of persons, have been examined, among them the president of PASOK Nikos Androulakis, the journalist Thanasis Koukakis and others.

Also as a witness has been called by the deputy prosecutor Achilleas Zisis and the former commander of the Greek National Security Agency (he also served during the critical period for the wiretapping as the head of the National Intelligence Service) Panagiotis Kontoleon.

The statements of the witnesses called are being studied by the deputy prosecutor and are related, according to information, to the explanations given by the first four suspects, as well as the findings crucial to the investigation that the deputy prosecutor identified when he unexpectedly checked the EYP in the presence of two experts from the list maintained by the Court of First Instance of Athens.

However, if Mr. Zisis proceeds with other summonses of suspects, it is a development that will be seen soon, while information indicates that his conclusion is expected in the new judicial year.

In any case, the final word on the evaluation of the Zisi conclusion and the material of the case file belongs to the Prosecutor of the Supreme Court Georgia Adeline who was the one who took the initiative to upgrade the investigation and assign it to a high court prosecutor.
