From Strasbourg, where the newly elected MEP of the ND is located, he spoke about how his colleagues treated him and what he hopes for the release request he has filed
“The 15 months in prison were the most difficult of my life,” stressed Fredis Beleris, in an interview he gave live from Strasbourg on the show “Dekatianoi” on SKAI.
When asked how the rest of the MEPs treated him, Mr. Beleris said that “since yesterday when I was in Strasburg, many people have come to ask me about the case and to support me. Of course, there is support from all the Greek MEPs. I hope the sympathy will continue to exist.”
Regarding the request for release from prison, he noted that the law provides that anyone who has served 2/3 of the sentence submits a request for release from prison. “The logical thing is to accept the request. The fact that they gave me permission shows that there is a change of mood on the Albanian side”
Mr. Beleris also said that if Albania wants its place in Europe, it must show it.
Regarding the elections announced by Edi Rama for August 4, she said, among other things, that she hopes “the one who receives the people’s vote” will govern.
