Ministerial meets – Developments in Ukraine at the top of the agenda

The Council of Ministers is currently meeting under the Prime Minister, via teleconference.

The topics of the meeting of the Council of Ministers are:

– Information on developments in Ukraine and the consequences for Greece

-Presentation by the Minister of Finance Christos Staikouras and the Deputy Minister of Finance Apostolos Vesyropoulos of the legislative initiatives:

a) The new ENFIA – Reduction of ENFIA by applying the new objective values,

b) Intermediate Public Contribution Program to support vulnerable debtors,

c) Independent Credit Rating Authority,

d) Reform of the legal framework governing the operation of the Financial Stability Fund,

e) Exercise of customs representation – Regulation of the profession of customs representative

-Presentation by the Minister of Justice Costas Tsiaras of the Code of Organization of Courts and the Status of Judicial Officers

-Presentation by the Minister of Interior Makis Voridis of a fundraising bill of the Ministry of Interior

-Suggestion by the Minister of Infrastructure and Transport Costas Karamanlis for the inclusion of real estate expropriations for projects of general importance for the country’s economy in par. 1 of article 7A of the Code of Compulsory Real Estate Expropriations

-Suggestion by the Minister of Justice Costas Tsiaras for the renewal of the term of a Greek Judge in the General Court of the European Union

-Suggestion by the Minister of Foreign Affairs Nikos Dendias for the establishment of the Government Committee for the Coordination of International Development Policy

-Suggestion by the Minister of Culture and Sports Lina Mendoni for the establishment of a Government Committee to monitor the progress of the project of upgrading, promotion and underground expansion of the National Archaeological Museum.
