“They talk about data, we ask for data. They should provide it in time, so that we all have accurate data”
For two days, SYRIZA-PS has been asking for specific information on the use of aerial means in the Attica fire and the government is “blowing the whistle,” says the official opposition in a statement.
Today, “government sources” say that the government will ask for a debate in Parliament in September, so that the relevant report can also be carried out. The same “sources” add that “the discussion will be based on evidence and real data and not with political buzzwords.”
They talk about evidence, we ask for evidence. To give them in time, so that we all have the exact data.
We repeat:
- We ask the National Coordination Center for Operations and Crisis Management (ESKEDIK/PS) to provide the telematics data of all aerial vehicles that operated in Attica from Sunday August 11th until Tuesday August 13th.
- We are requesting a copy of the “Engage” Information System regarding air and ground assets.
- We request a copy of the Minutes of the Civil Protection Coordinating Body meeting of August 12.
The Greek people are entitled to the truth and cannot wait until September for the specific facts, concludes Koumoundourou.
